The Vigil

Synopsis

A young man agrees to fulfil the duties of a “shomer”, a ritualistic practice of looking after a dead body over the course of one night, and is now keeping vigil over a deceased member of his former Orthodox Jewish community. During the night, he finds himself targeted by a malevolent spirit known as a dybbuk.
