Batwara 1947

Synopsis

During the 1947 partition of India, Sikander Mirza and his family are allotted an abandoned home after fleeing to Pakistan as refugees. Their new beginning is disrupted when they discover Mai, an elderly Hindu woman who refuses to leave, insisting the house is rightfully hers. As Sikander tries to force her out, the two are drawn into an unexpected, tense standoff that forces both to confront loss, displacement, and shared humanity amid one of history`s most turbulent upheavals.
